FINANCE – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

When you order goods from Verdura and its associated websites www.digitalhealthpartners.co.uk or www.verdura.co.uk , you have an option to pay via finance.

Finance allows you to spread the cost of your purchase.

To make it easy we’ve teamed up with etika the lender, who offer smart technology that lets you check your eligibility with their eligibility checker using a soft search facility which lets you know the amount you can borrow without leaving a mark on your credit file.

You can also apply for and complete the full loan application (credit check will be undertaken and recorded on your credit file) quickly and entirely online even if you haven't checked your eligibility with the eligibility checker.


ELIGIBILITY

You will only be considered for finance if:

- You are over 18 years of age.

- You are employed at least 16 hours per week or retired and in receipt of a private or company pension, receiving certain benefits e.g. disability (Job Seekers Allowance is not allowed), or prove other means of support e.g. self-employed income..

- You have a good credit history with no late payments, debt relief orders, CCJs, IVAs or bankruptcies

- You are a permanent UK resident and able to supply a UK address history for the last 3 years

- Have a valid email address and can access it.

- You are not a student (unless employed at least 16 hours per week) or unemployed single house person

- We welcome application from retired individuals, in receipt of a private or company pension (aged 50 or over at date of application).


OUR FINANCE OPTION

Verdura Rewards Limited act as a credit broker not a lender and introduces to etika (a trading name of etika Finance UK Limited) (the “lender”) and offer an interest bearing finance option to help you spread the cost of your purchase over 12 months or 18 months.

The value of the loan needs to be over £279.00 and you can choose a deposit from 10% up to 50% of the total value of the goods.

The approximate monthly payment is detailed on each product page and a full representative example based on your actual purchases will be provided before confirmation of order, you will be able to select your deposit level here too.

PAYING WITH FINANCE

Simply add the purchases to your basket and select etika at checkout. You’ll then be taken to the application form, which takes just a few minutes to complete.

There is a maximum purchase of two of each product per customer (customer must be aged 18 or over). Eligibility for this offer is subject to financial circumstances and status.

You need to pass a credit check and make an initial upfront payment which will vary depending on the product you choose.

You need to agree to an online consumer credit agreement (19.9% APR) with etika (etika Finance UK Ltd) (the "lender"). You must complete and enter into the credit agreement for yourself, not on behalf of anybody else, and use your own bank account details.


FINANCE DECISION

Your application will be assessed based on eligibility, credit history and affordability and etika (the “lender”) will let you know the outcome in just a few seconds. It’s important to know that when applying for finance a hard credit check is made which is recorded on your credit file.

If you decide to proceed with a full application, we will ask your permission to approach the credit reference agency for a complete search of your credit report, referred to as a 'hard credit check'. Each hard check is recorded on your report, so organisations searching it will be able to see that you've applied for credit.

All applications are subject to status and application.

Once approved, you will need to digitally sign your credit agreement, pay your deposit and wait for your order to arrive.

In a few cases, your application may be referred for manual assessment and you’ll be notified by email of the credit decision within 24 hours. If you’re not approved for finance it could be for a variety of reasons and etika will be able to give you more information.

Finance Applications can only be accepted if you have a valid UK bank account that accepts direct debits. If you are based outside of the UK or will spend any time out of the UK when a payment is due, your payment still needs to be paid. If you are to leave the UK on a permanent basis full payment of any remaining balance needs to be made before leaving the UK.


REPAYING THE LOAN

Your payments will be taken from your nominated bank account by Direct Debit on the date specified in your loan agreement, unless you notify etika that you want to change this date. You can repay your loan early, either in full or part, by paying off any outstanding balance and any accrued interest (if applicable) up to the date of settlement. etika does not charge an early settlement fee.

If you have any difficulties making your payments, you should contact etika immediately on 0800 028 9321. Missing or underpaying your contractual payments can have serious financial implications. This may include the credit costing more overall and/or the performance of your account being registered with Credit Reference Agencies, which may make it more difficult to obtain credit in the future and affect your credit rating. Your account may default and may be passed to third party debt collection agencies for recovery.

Your loan agreement will remain outstanding until it is repaid in full, even if you cancel, lapse or change your order.


CANCELLATION

There is a 14 day cooling off period where you can withdraw from the credit agreement after signing your documents. If you change your mind about your purchase you can cancel at any time up to 14 days after the day of delivery of your product (the “cooling off period”). To cancel, you just need to let etika know that you have decided to cancel via your etika account page.

A payment plan does not affect our standard refund and returns policy. Just contact us and we’ll cancel your application and etika will refund your deposit and let you know of any outstanding balance if applicable.

If you cancel within the cooling off period, you will be refunded the full amount of your initial upfront payment. However, we reserve the right to reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the product due to your mishandling of the product.

Cancellation of a direct debit does not cancel the finance agreement; an alternative method of payment must be arranged. Failure to notify etika of cancelling your direct debit will constitute to a breach of these Terms and you will then be liable to pay the outstanding balance immediately, plus any administration fees.

To start your credit application, add the product you wish to buy to your basket. On Check Out please ensure you select “Pay by Finance”. Once the checkout procedure is finished you will then be asked to fill out your details such as your name, address history for the last 3 years, employment details and bank details for direct debit by etika.

This only takes a few minutes and in most cases an instant decision can be returned. Sometimes decisions may need to be referred for manual checks, which may only be carried out during working hours. You will be notified of the decision by email once these are complete if this is the case.

If your application is unsuccessful and you have already paid a deposit this will be refunded automatically within 3-5 working days.

If your application is successful your order will be fulfilled.
